Pergasingan Hill

The name Pergasingan Hill originates from the word "gasing," a traditional game that was once very popular in Sembalun society. According to local stories, this hill area was often used as a place to play gasing by the locals, thus it became known as Pergasingan Hill, which literally means the hill where gasing is played. In addition to this meaning, the word Pergasingan is also interpreted as a "remote or isolated place," describing the hill's serene atmosphere, far from the crowds, and very suitable as a destination to find tranquility and connect with nature.

Entrance and Parking Fees

Pergasingan Hill is managed by the local community with relatively affordable fees:

• Entrance ticket: around Rp10,000 - Rp25,000 per person

• Motorbike parking: Rp5,000 for a short visit and Rp10,000 for camping.

• Car parking: Rp10,000 for a short visit, and Rp25,000 for camping.

Pergasingan Hill has only one main climbing trail. Compared to the trails in the Sembalun Seven Summits range, this hill is relatively friendly to beginners. However, climbers are still advised to prepare themselves physically and climb with friends or guides for safety and comfort. Unlike other hills in the Seven Summits, the peak area of Pergasingan Hill is located within a forest, providing a more shaded and natural atmosphere. It offers a stunning 360° panorama, including the majesty of Mount Rinjani, the Sembalun rice fields that resemble a natural carpet, and the green hills and valleys landscape.

Known as one of the best spots for sunrise and sunset in East Lombok. The camping area at the top offers an incredible experience of enjoying the starry night sky and the Milky Way.
